Photos from Day 6

Today was day 6 of our adventure in Guatemala. We finished up work projects and had an opportunity to play our new friends in soccer. We will be heading to Antigua tomorrow to experience another part of the county of Guatemala. (I may not have internet access so not sure if there will be a posting) Enjoy these photos from today and as you can tell we have made many new friends. Blessings to everyone back home.

The Vida Joven Classic was a great game again this year.

It did get a little crazy. The Gringos won - Thanks to steller play in goal by Matt Augustyn, Michael Pircon, a hat trick by Matt Mrozek, great control of the mid field by Sam Bush-Joseph, and a total team effort. Also help from Bengie our British import on loan.

It was a graet day!

Begin Work Projects Day 2

Hola!
Today was our first work day in El Recuerdo. For this week, we divided all the team members into four separate groups. Each group has been given a different project to be completed by the end of the week. Los Cuates are dilligently working hard to repaint the community center. Lolo Chingolo and Gustavo Bonifaz are two other groups that are currently working to lay down cement floors in three different houses. Grandios Hercules is spackling the walls of two previously built houses. It's been an exciting and eye-opening experience.
Lots of love,
Layne, Maddy, Allison, and Joy

Hello Pircon Family,
I'm having a blast in Guatemala. Dad was completely wrong because the food is great. Today was our first day of labor and i greatly underestimated the power of the sun.

Hope your having fun at home,
Michael
